Elmo Makes Music!

Harper loves Elmo. When I heard Sesame Street Live was coming to Lubbock, I REALLY wanted to take her. I just couldn't justify spending that much money right now. One morning at work, I asked my friend Barbara to send an email to Lubbock Fun Club (as well as Michael and myself) for another chance to win Elmo tickets for Harper. Well, Barbara WON!! I may or may not have been more excited than Harper. It was a family 4 pack of tickets, so my sister Amy and Sarah Jane came with us.

What a cute Elmo fan!

I think Harper may have been slightly more excited about the popcorn.

Intermission = snack time
Dancing to the music. (look how long her hair is!)
Thank you, Barb for the tickets!!!!

Oh...side note: When we were pulling out of the parking lot after the show, Mix 100 announced they were giving away a pair of tickets to the 10th caller for Ballet Lubbock's Cinderella. I REALLY wanted to go, but yet again, tickets are expensive and can't justify spending that right now. Anyway. I called and was caller 2. Bummer. So I called a few more times, finally got through, and was caller 10!!!! So Michael and I are going on a date to the ballet on Friday!

Maggie

Sooo....we got another dog. Her name is Maggie, and we love her. A lady who works at an animal clinic here in town was trying to find a home for her. She's about 2 years old, a yorkie mix, and is already house trained. Perfect!

Harper LOVES her. Maggie isn't too sure about Harper yet. :)

Isn't she the cutest?!

She sleeps at the end of our bed, and today she decided she needed to sleep ON my legs.

Zanda and Jason {Engagement Photographer}

Did I mention how much I love engagement sessions?! Zanda and I work together, so it was a fun and relaxing shoot. The session started out very windy in true Lubbock fashion, but we ended it with a perfect sunset!

This has to be one of my favorites. I just happened to catch this candid moment where she was making fun of his hat hair. :)
LOVE. The sunset was amazing that night!

9/22/12 must be a great day to get married this year!

Thank you so much for trusting me with this special time in your lives. I wish you nothing but happiness in your marriage!

Easter Festivities 2012

We started out with an Easter egg hunt at preschool. Man, these kids are cute!

Saturday night, we celebrated Easter with Papa, Grandma Mary, and Alexa. We grilled burgers, and Harper got to hunt more eggs!
Playing piano with Daddy

The Easter bunny even came!
We have an annual Easter egg hunt at 2 of our gym locations. There are a few of us who work in the Kids Club who also love to facepaint! Barbara and I face painted at 4th Street.
We were running really late to church this morning, so I didn't have a chance to get any pictures of us dressed up, so here is the best I got! She's such a mess.
She thought it was hilarious to wear her basket as a hat.
Today would have been my daddy's 68th birthday. Could you imagine celebrating your birthday with the risen King?! Now that's a party I would want to be at!

Trip to Austin

Here are a few pics from our trip to Austin.

She was out pretty soon into our trip, thank goodness.
Portable DVD players are the best thing since sliced bread.
Harper got to play with her friend Grady!
Playing with her cousins Jordyn and Landon

She LOVES her Bubby!
Wednesday was Michael's birthday and had a whole list of plans, but we ended up just going to La Madeleine's for lunch, IKEA, and the Round Rock outlets
Mickey was even at the outlets!
Bubby and Jordyn let Harper take a few of their Dora books home. She was in heaven!
It was a quick trip but so worth it! It was nice to catch a little breather after everything that's been going on the last few weeks.

I love TEXAS.

It's true. I love Texas. I grew up here and don't plan on ever leaving. I decided Harper and I needed a little vacation and tagged along with Michael to the hill country. I dropped Michael off at his mom's house in Austin Monday night, and Harper and I drove to Bastrop to my sister's house.

Today since Misti's kids were in school and she had to work, Harper and I met my mom and some other ladies from church for lunch. After lunch, we made a mad dash to the wildflowers to take some pictures of Harper. If you aren't from Texas then you just don't get it. I realize that, but Texans are PROUD. I just can't help myself! :)

Pretty cute kid, right? She only fell over a couple of times during the shoot and got one cut on her leg. She WILL love these flowers. I'm raisin' her right... ;)

So after the pictures, we headed to Warrenton for the bi-annual antique show. Oh how I LOVE this place! I was on a mission to find one thing...an antique wooden highchair. I found it! And it's perfect! Harper also got to play with her friend Grady, and I got to chat with 2 of my favorite people...Karissa and Brittany.

We are now back in Bastrop for the night. Tomorrow is my baby daddy's 33rd birthday! We are planning on roaming the Round Rock outlets and IKEA, eating at The Salt Lick, and taking Harper to Kiddie Acres before we pack up the car to head back to Lubbock tomorrow afternoon. Get excited! :)
