Happy 4th of July!

**I am so very thankful to be an American. Just always remember Freedom isn't Free. Thank a soldier.**

We actually made it to the parade this morning! I thought for sure we would end up sleeping in. I meant to wake up at 7 to get everyone ready and out the door by 8 so we could get good seats for the parade which started at 9. Well, we slept until 8 but were out the door by 8:30. Not too bad, I guess! The parade was pretty lame, but I always enjoy all of the military floats. I'm not gonna lie...I teared up when the veteran float went by. I'm so proud my daddy was a veteran. I always miss him more on days like today.

On to the cuteness that is...my child. She was looking exceptionally cute with her ridiculously huge patriotic bow this morning.

We stopped by my sister's house on the way and picked up my mom and these 2 cute kids. I think if people didn't know any better, they would think Charlie and Harper were brother and sister. It's a little crazy how much they look alike! Then there is Sarah Jane....I can't get enough of those chubby cheeks!
We had some of our equipment from Bodyworks in the children's area of the street fair which immediately followed the parade. I got to enjoy the parade for a little bit before working and doing a little crowd control of the lines for our monstrocity (which consists of a spider climber, rockwall, huge inflatable slide, and 3 sets of trampoline/bungees). It. Was. HOT!
Check out Harper's shiner. She had a little run in with a bench.
Oh, Sarah Jane!
I had been promising Charlie I would take him to play laser tag at the Bodyworks location I work at. They were doing a special today for 4 rounds of laser tag for $4 per person. You can't beat that! Charlie wanted to try out the ropes course too....and didn't make it past the first element. Poor kid!
Michael trying to calm him down
Making his way back across the first element to get back down the stairs
We took a little ice cream break after the ropes course.
My co-worker, Barbara, was face painting so I borrowed her paints to create Bumblebee. It turned out awesome, and he LOVED it!
We had an awesome day, but I am COMPLETELY exhausted! I have been laying in bed since before 8:00 and plan on calling it a night once I post this. Everyone stay safe, and don't forget to be thankful!

Stopping by from Jenna's commenting challenge. That ropes course looks so fun! I could see my son doing that in a few years.
